Best Bits mailing listBest Bits was a global civil society network on the topic of Internet governance, that was formed in 2012 and closed in 2019. Many of the former members of Best Bits participate in the Internet Governance Caucus.
Some things to point out:
– They are described as interim liaisons. Interim until what? I would assume until such time as formal arrangements were made. They have now been made.
– Nowhere does the letter indicate that we will not work though through the /1net.
– While we asked the Brazilian organizers to accept our liaisons and invite them to all meetings, they do not seem to have agreed to our request. Happens like that sometimes.
– At least one of our liaisons did find a role inside the planning effort and has done well at keeping us informed.
– The other liaisons did as asked and remained available to the organizers and reported to us what they had to report.
